HEALTHCARE

Karma Health is building a model of healthcare that works for the underserved people and regions

RAJPUR MODEL

Karma Health has partnered with a municipality in rural Nepal to prototype our model so that we can prepare a package of interventions for Nepal's 753 municipalities.

3 innovations

To ensure high-quality healthcare, we:
i) upgrade existing government health centers by adding doctors and diagnostics,
ii) set up routine mobile camps to reach remotest villages, and
iii) provide individualized care through professional community health workers

2 ideas

To ensure the suitability and sustainability of our programs, we:
i) design and monitor interventions with the communities, and
ii) partner with local governments to finance the model.

$1 per person, per year

We continuously strive to build a basic package of high-quality healthcare at the lowest cost so that they are affordable by local governments.
For a municipality in Nepal, we have been able to provide high-quality care for each person at $1 a year.
